Margherita Pagani
Technology, sociology and impact investing are the pillars of the projects the Margherita Pagani has set up and lead across Europe, Latin America and US over the last 7 years. After a 12 years professional volleyball career and after graduating in Fine Arts at the Brera Academy in Milan, Margherita starts running a research on models around sustainable development, innovation and social action in more than 20 countries, with a specific focus on social entrepreneurship and design-driven frameworks. In a few years she founded the italian chapter of the global active citizenship festival 100in1day, she co-founder the collaborative design platform Flythegap and got selected by Startup Chile. In 2016, after getting involved with the Refugee Crisis in southern Europe, she founds Impacton.org, an organisation that uses technology and big-data to select, analyse and spread the formulas existing, effective solutions to social and environmental challenges, making them available for adaptation and replication in other contexts. She is an active member of Sandbox, the World Economic Forum Global Shapers community and the Royal Society of Arts.
